Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup yellow onion (diced)
- 1 red bell pepper (diced)
- 1 green bell pepper (diced)
- 25 dried red chilies
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- For the sauce: soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar
Instructions
- Coat sliced beef with corn starch, salt, and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
- Add beef to the pan in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown; remove and keep warm.
- In the same pan, stir-fry onions and bell peppers along with dried chilies for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and return cooked beef to the pan.
- Whisk together sauce ingredients in a bowl and pour over beef mixture. Cook until thickened.
