  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • For Topping: 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed), 1 1/2 cups hot water, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Pour melted butter into a greased 9×13 baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture; mix until just combined.
  4. Spoon batter over melted butter—do not stir. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
  5. Carefully pour hot water over the batter and brown sugar mixture.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Once out of the oven, mix topping sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over cobbler while still warm.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
