Ingredients

  • 1 head of garlic
  • 4 strips bacon (sliced into 1" pieces)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 shallot (finely diced)
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 16 oz package shelf-stable gnocchi
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cut off the top of the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 50 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan.
  3. Add butter to the skillet, then sauté shallots for about 2 minutes until softened.
  4. Squeeze roasted garlic into the skillet; add broth, cream, salt, and pepper. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add gnocchi to the sauce; cook for about 8 minutes until tender.
  6. Stir in chopped parsley and parmesan; top with reserved bacon before serving.
