Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13 baking dish by greasing it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking soda; mix on low speed until blended.
  3. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients; blend until smooth.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together water, unsalted butter, and peanut butter until creamy.
  5. Pour the peanut butter mixture into the batter and mix well for about two minutes.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the frosting, beat together softened butter and peanut butter; gradually add powdered sugar and thin with milk as needed.
