- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar (for rolling)

Instructions
- Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in maple syrup, vanilla extract, and egg until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
- Chill the dough for at least one hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll dough into balls about 1 ½ inches in diameter and coat in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
