Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 13 ounces kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to create the sauce. Set aside two-thirds of the sauce.
  2. Marinate shrimp in the remaining sauce in a zip-top bag for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté broccoli for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp, then remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and brown the sliced kielbasa sausage for about 4-5 minutes. Add marinated shrimp (discard leftover marinade) and cook until pink and opaque (about 1-2 minutes per side).
  5. Pour reserved sauce into the skillet and simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened. Add back the cooked broccoli and toss to combine.
  6. Serve over white rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
