  • 2 cups fresh peaches, diced
  • For the glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/3 cup finely diced peaches
  • additional vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, whole milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in diced peaches.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–60 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, melted butter, diced peaches, and vanilla extract until smooth; adjust consistency with heavy cream if needed.
  8. Once cooled completely, drizzle the glaze over the bread before slicing.
