Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • Lime juice for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce; simmer for an additional minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for another minute.
