Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast the pecans on a baking sheet for about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually combine with wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the toasted pecans gently.
  6. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Cool for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Prepare the glaze by melting butter and brown sugar over low heat; stir in milk and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies.
