  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 2 tablespoons butter for coating
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and milk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan evenly with batter using a piping bag or ziplock bag.
  6. Bake for 15-16 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  7. Coat donuts in melted butter then roll in cinnamon sugar.
