  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth while scraping up browned bits from the pan. Stir well.
  5. When the sauce simmers, add chopped basil leaves and let it cook for an additional couple of minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it, and warm together for about two minutes before serving.
