  • 2 heads romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup shaved parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups croutons
  • 2 small garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 can anchovies in olive oil (2 oz)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp Tabasco hot sauce
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry romaine lettuce, then cut into pieces and place in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together garlic, anchovies (with oil), lemon juice, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, mayonnaise, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the lettuce and toss gently to coat.
