Instructions
- Prepare the sauce by mixing water, soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, sesame oil, cornstarch, and additional water in a bowl.
- Create a slurry with cornstarch and water in another bowl.
- Steam bok choy in a skillet with boiling water for about 1 minute; set aside.
- Sear mushrooms in peanut oil until browned; add garlic, ginger, and chili peppers.
- Combine steamed bok choy with mushrooms; pour in sauce and cook until thickened.
