Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups cake flour
- 16 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Chai spice blend (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, nutmeg)
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together chai spices.
- In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and one tablespoon of the chai spice blend.
- Cream cold butter and sugars in a stand mixer until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined.
- Roll dough into large balls and coat with leftover chai spice sugar mixture before placing on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-11 minutes for large cookies; allow to cool before glazing.
