  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion

  • 2 jalapeño peppers (optional)

  • 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric

Instructions

  1. Mix all spices together in a bowl.
  2. Season the chicken with the spice mixture and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Sauté onion and jalapeño in olive oil until softened, then add garlic.
  4. Cook the seasoned chicken in batches until browned and cooked through.
  5. Pour in coconut milk and Worcestershire sauce; simmer until thickened.
  6. Add back the chicken and sauté with basil and ginger for another two minutes.
