  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/31/4 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1" fresh ginger (finely minced)

  • 23 tbsp honey/maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • spring onions (for garnish)
  • sliced chillis (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour and optional garlic powder. Gradually add water until you reach a thick batter consistency.
  3. Toss in the cauliflower florets until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the coated florets on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While baking, prepare the sauce by combining sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, Sriracha, minced ginger, minced garlic, honey/maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until thickened.
  6. Once baked, combine the cauliflower with the sauce in a large mixing bowl and toss gently to coat.
